About LWP

Lamorinda Water Polo, Inc. (“LWP”) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization (CA Corp. #2183504/Fed ID#68-0442002) and was established to foster and promote the amateur sport of water polo.  LWP is organized to benefit boys and girls of all abilities and is operated in accordance with the standards and under the rules prescribed by FINA and USAWP.  LWP is a member club (#1309) of the Pacific Zone (#6).
 
LWP is a year-round USAWP club program and is open to any individual who wants to learn about the sport of water polo, develop new skills, and enhance their attained skill level.  We strive to establish a fun, supportive, and positive environment; where players at all levels can strengthen their skills and enjoy competition on a local, regional, national or international basis.
 
The LWP program is offered on a seasonal basis. Each season is designed to address the needs of the participants and may include instructional practices from the fundamentals of the game to strategy and execution, strength and conditioning, scrimmages, and tournament play.
 
Current LWP participants are predominantly from the East Bay.  While many of our athletes attend Campolindo , Miramonte, Acalanes, Stanley, Joaquin Moraga, and Orinda Intermediate LWP is open to any individual wishing to participate in the program.
 
At any given time LWP will host teams in the following age groups:  Masters, Open/Senior, 18U, 16U, 14U  12U, and 10U.
 
Practice is usually held at either Soda Aquatic Center at Campolindo High School, the Steve Heaston Aquatic Center at Acalanes High School and the Bill Brown Aquatic Center at Miramonte High School.
