Pacific Zone Senior All Stars

Congratulations 14U Boys

Saturday & Sunday, October 29th & 30th, two of our 14U Boys’ Teams participated in the Evan Cousineau Cup held in Orange County. The Evan Cousineau Cup is a premier Fall Tournament which includes many of the top teams from Northern and Southern California. While the tournament offers a great opportunity for young boys and girls to compete, the organization also conducts a marrow registry to help find potential donors. Following up a great summer of water polo, the 14U boys’ teams continued their strong showing and came away with many positive water polo experiences at the Cup. The 14A team placed 7th in their bracket, competing against some of the top ranked Clubs in California. The 14B team beat several of the top LA teams, including LAWP and OCWP, to claim the Gold Medal in their bracket. Go Lamorinda!

Congratulations Lamorinda Boys

Over the past four days, the largest water polo tournament took place in Orange County. All the Lamorinda Boys represented the club well with their explosive performance. Garnishing a gold medal atop of the 16Un Men's Platinum Division was the Lamorinda A team, defeating all the opponents they faced over the four day tournament. Charlie Wiser was named MVP of the tournament. The 21Un Men finished 2nd in their respective division, the 18Un Men's A team finished 6th in their Platinum Division, and the 12Un Boys finished 9th in the Platinum Division. In the Gold Divisions, the 14Un Boys A team placed 2nd, the 14Un Blue team placed 9th, the 18Un Blue team finished 11th, and the 16Un Boys Gold team finished 12th. In the Silver Division, the 16Un Boys Blue team finished 5th.

Lamorinda Water Polo Club is a year-round USA Water Polo club program and is open to any individual who wants to learn about the sport of water polo, develop new skills, and enhance their attained skill level. We strive to establish a fun, supportive, and positive environment; where players at all levels can strengthen their skills and enjoy competition on a local, regional, national or international basis. Lamorinda is committed to grow the sport of water polo and to create an atmosphere for team and individual growth in sportsmanship, athletic excellence, and personal integrity.

Winter Programs and Schedules are now posted with the Winter program running from November 28th through February 12th. Once posted, Practice Schedules may be found under the main menu heading of 'calendars/practice'. Registration: To register for the upcoming season, please select 'Register' from the main menu. Select your appropriate age/grade and gender group and place it in your shopping cart. If you are a current LWP athlete, once you log into your account, be sure to go back to your cart and complete the check out process through PayPal. President's Letter

Spring Polo
Can't wait for Spring? Lamorinda's Spring programs will kick off February 27th and run through May 4th. During Spring we will offer our Beginner program as well as our 4th, 6th, & 8th Grade & Under programs. Local tournaments will be held on March 4th, 11th, 25th, April 15th & 22nd. We will conclude the Spring program with an optional travel tournament to San Diego, CA May 4th-6th. In addition, our high school athletes will compete in the Califorina Cup Series. Additional information will be posted in early February.

Programs Available At Lamorinda Water Polo Club
Lamorinda provides water polo programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 of all levels and abilities.
Splashball - Co-Ed - 5 to 9 years of age
Beginners Co-Ed - 7 to 12 years of age
4th Grade & Un Co-Ed
6th Grade & Un Girls & Boys programs*
7th & 8th Grade Girls & Boys programs*
9th & 10th Grade Girls & Boys programs*
11th & 12th Grade Girls & Boys programs*
*Separate training groups, not Co-Ed.

SPLASHBALLTM SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAM
in partnership with MORAGA PARK & REC
Designed for boys and girls, ages 5 to 9 years old, with little or no water polo experience. The players will learn the basics of the game while having loads of fun. SPLASHBALLTM is a no-contact program held in a shallow pool and floatation devices are allowed. Each practice will be 1.25 hour in duration on Sunday afternoons. Cost is $152.00
