On Sunday, August 26th, Lamorinda Water Polo hosted their 3rd annual free clinic to introduce the sport of water polo. There were over 200 athletes ages 13-years-old and under who participated this year -- almost double the number from the prior year.
Kids as young as 4 years old dipped their toe in the proverbial water. The only requirements for participation: kids must be able to swim a full lap unassisted and tread water confidently for 30 seconds.
"Water polo was my favorite sport growing up. And I am ecstatic that my 4-year-old son loved his first experience at the free clinic," shared Katie Joy Walsh.
