The word is out! Parents and kids are flocking to the sport of water polo.
On Sunday, August 26th, Lamorinda Water Polo hosted their 3rd annual free clinic to introduce the sport of water polo. There were over 200 athletes ages 13-years-old and under who participated this year -- almost double the number from the prior year. Kids as young as 4 years old dipped their toe in the proverbial water. The only requirements for participation: kids must be able to swim a full lap unassisted and tread water confidently for 30 seconds. "Water polo was my favorite sport growing up. And I am ecstatic that my 4-year-old son loved his first experience at the free clinic," shared Katie Joy Walsh.
